Khushal khan khattak poetry in Pashto and life biography

Khushal Khan Khattak was a well known and noteworthy poet of Pashto language. During the mughul reign he was born in home of Malik Shabaz Khattak (father) in a town Akora ,Nowshera in 1613. Around then the mughul ruler Akbar were appreciating the public authority. The granddad of Khushal Khan Khattak was Malik Akoray who was enormously rewarded by the Mughul emperors in that age due to his huge collaboration with the government. His granddad Malik Akoray would inhabit in Karak from where he moved to Nowshera and found a town which he built which is as yet called as Akora Khattak.

EARLY EDUCTATION:

Let me tell you little about khushal khan khattak history. When Khushal Khan Khttak was a child, in those days, there was no proper school or colleges. just the rich individuals could afford the education expenses of their kids and would manage education for their children at home. The dad of khushal khan khattak was a noticeable character in Mughal armed force. That’s why the government allotted him huge area of land and money as well. He also provided education to his son at home. Among his home teachers, the names of Maulana Abdul Hakeem and Awais Multani are reflected form his poems. Besides education, he was found of hunting and swordplay

A LITTLE ABOUT HIS LIFE:

When Khushal Khan Khattak grew up. At his young age he offered his services to Mughul kings, but in his old age he was very anxious to unite pashtuns for the reservation of pathan culture and society. He was greatly admired by his genousness in mughul realm. His forefathers would serve with Mughal Empire. As his father Malik Shabaz Khan khattak would serve with mughuls. After his demise shahjehan , the rular of that time appointed  Khushal Khan Khattak as Mansabdar and chief of he tribe when he was 28 years of age.

 

As long as Shahjehan was running the machinery of government. He was happy with the services of Khushal Khan Khattk. When Shahjehan died came to power and became the Mugal King. Soon the relation of the newly king and Khashal Khan Khattak got strained. Resultantly, the king arrested him and detained in Gwalior fortress. When he released, he slowly and gradually started moment against Muhgal dynasty with the assistance pasthun clans.

He had many wives and 57 sons. According to some historians he had more than 60 sons. Among his sons one namely Behram Khan stood against his father to capture the main position in pashtun tribes and get the support of mughal king. He wanted to kill his father. Behram khan hatched conspiracy against his father with the help of Mughal emperor to kill his father. But before this, Khushal Khan Khattak went to Tirah at Khyber Agency to save his skin. His two sons namely  Nusrat Khan and Gohar Khan assisted him. He went far and wide to meet pashtuns to unite them but failed. He came back unhappy and decided to focus on writing.  Khushal passed on at 76 years old on Friday, 20 February 1689.

ABOUT HIS POETRY:

When Khushal heart broken from the Mughals, he wanted to reside a peaceful life and started writing. He highlight the pashtun tribes and his life difficulties in his poetry but his poetry is mainly written on patriotism.

He write Saht u Badan about human body, Fazal Nama about religion, Faraq Nama about up and down with Mughals, Farrukh Nama about pen and Sword and Tib Nama.
