Tracey Cherelle Jones is an actress, writer, artist, designer, and TV personality who embodies the modern Renaissance woman. Having nailed her very first audition, a national McDonald's commercial, at the tender age of 8, Tracey was able to begin acting at such a young age.
After seeing this, she was inspired to do more commercials and print work, which she continued to do for several years. It was her work as a child that instilled in her a tremendous sense of confidence, which she has carried into adulthood.
With a degree in Pan African Studies, Tracey graduated from
the University of Illinois with a concentration in Film Studies in 2000. Soon
after, she landed the lead female role in the smash hit "Don't be a Menace
to Society While Drinking Your Gin and Juice in the Hood.
Tracey starred in a number of studio movies following Don't
be a Menace, including "The Players Club", directed by Ice Cube,
"Baby Boy", directed by John Singleton, and several other films
The actress has been a series regular on "Good
News", a recurring role on "Men, Women, and Dogs", and guest
starred on "Family Matters", "The Wayan's Bros.", and
"The Jaimie Foxx Show.
She decided to write the stories and create the characters
she wanted to see on the big and small screen after studying with some of the
best in the business, and feeling a lack of diversity in roles for minority
actors. Her works include two pilots and a feature length film. In addition,
she produced and hosted a pilot titled "Living Large," which is a
contemporary, urban version of "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous."
Her passion for design and all things beautiful has always
led her to study art and study all things beautiful. For fun, she started
designing rooms and dressing rooms for her friends in the entertainment
industry for the purpose of having fun.
Having studied Interior Design as a hobby for years, she
decided to become a professional Designer, resulting in her enrollment in Grad
school. In addition to designing homes and offices for her many celebrity
friends, family members, and referrals, she has also designed a school.
She is currently in the process of forming a non-profit company
that will work on "Aging Design" for the "Baby Boomer"
generation, which may have fallen on hard times in recent years, and may not
have the financial means to upgrade their residences to accommodate their
various health problems.
With such a soft spot in her heart for people with
disabilities, aging, and the elderly, Tracey has made it her goal to beautify
and make their living spaces more comfortable for them.
As a result of
Tracey's drive, her tenacity, and her strong work ethic, she has grown into a
dynamo in the world of business. She continues to achieve her goals with the
help of her creativity, education, and experience.
A true renaissance woman, she is an inspiration to us all
and is a true role model!
