Anjuman is the Punjabi film heroine. She is among the most successful in Pakistan's film industry. Her full name is Anjuman Shaheen. Her career spanned two decades in showbiz in which she worked in hit films.

In the 1980s and 1990s, she was in more than 300 films. Her hometown is Bahawalpur  located in Punjab of Pakistan, which is the birthplace of Anjuman.

Basically, the parents of Anjuman belong to Ahmadur East. In her childhood, Anjuman lived in Multan where her parents had settled after moving from Ahmadpur East. Then her family later migrated to Lahore where she grew up.

She has a younger sister named Gori, who is also an actress.

 At the age of 64 years, she tied the knots of her life to Waseem Ali Lucky on17 June 2019.

As far as her marital life is concerned. Her husband’s name is Mobin Malik who by profession is an income Tax Commissioner.

Anjuman had three kids one son and one daughter. Her daughter’s name is Iman and sons names are Zeeshan and Adnan.

Her showbiz career was over and she was living with her family in the United Kingdom. In 2013, an unfortunate incident took place with Anjuman when her husband was killed by someone when he was visiting his relatives. This made her extremely miserable.

Anjuman Showbiz Career

In 1973, she made her acting debut in Soorath, an Urdu film co-starring Waseem Abbas, Afshan, and Taj Niazi.

However, Anjuman's fame skyrocketed after she played in the movie  "Waadey Ki Zanjeer" in 1979. Muhammad Ali and Waheed Murad were the co-stars in this film.

The Pakistani action and musical film "Sher Khan" starred Anjuman in the lead role as Tange wali alongside Sultan Rahi and Iqbal Hassan. The same year, the Pakistani action film "Chan Varyam" was also a big hit, with co-actors Sultan Rahi and Iqbal Hassan.

As a supporting role in the Punjabi musical romantic film Sala Sahib, she appeared alongside Ali Ejaz the following year.

Three of her films from 1981 were diamond jubilee hits, with Sultan Rahi as her partner-hero, Madam Noor Jehan as her playback singer, and Wajahat Attre as her musician.

For more than ten years, she had also dominated Punjabi cinema. In the aftermath of her diamond jubilee hit performance, Anjuman worked in many Punjabi and Urdu films with almost all of the top stars.

She then appeared in 1965 in the Punjabi film "Khoon Da Hisab" along with Ghulam Mohniddin and Sultan Rahi. Pakistani audiences loved this film directed by Imtiaz Qaiser.

After this film, Sultan Rahi was unfortunately murdered a few days later on the National Highway. This was his last film. Anjuman also didn’t appear for a couple of years after this film.

In 1999, Anjuman returned with a mega-hit film called Chaudhrani, alongside Saima Noor, Shaan Shahid, and Saud Qasmi. In 2000, Anjuman appeared alongside Ghulam Mohiuddin in the film "Jag Mahi". Audiences and critics alike reacted positively to it. It aired in the Metropole cinema, Lahore, for 103 weeks.

Afterward, she starred opposite Saud Qazmi in another Punjabi blockbuster film called "Peengan".It became a super blockbuster at many cinemas in Lahore.

For the producer, Arshad Ali Waraich, the film proved to be a golden bird because the movie earned 100 times more than his original investment.

She performed in another Punjabi film, "Jatti Da Wair," in 2000 with Saud Qasim and Moamar Rana as co-actors. A huge hit ended her career with her last film.

Anjuman known as the super hit heroin of Punjabi films, this veteran actress dominated Lollywood for two decades.

She won 7 times Nigar Awards. Her performance at the Nigar Award Function resulted in seven awards.
