The actress Sitara Hewitt, more commonly known as Tara Hewitt, is of Pakistani origin and a Canadian film and television actress. Her hometown is Flora, Ontario, Canada where she was born.

She is the daughter of Wilfrid Laurier University professors because her mother and father both serve as professors at this University. Dr. Kenneth Hewitt, her father, is of Wales descent, while Dr. Farida Hewitt, her mother, is of Pakistani descent. They are her parents.

Her parents worked as academic field researchers in the Himalayan Mountains and the Hunza Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan, where her parents researched glaciers in the Himalayan Mountains, as well as in small villages in the Hunza Valley.

To become a skillful actress she got an education of acting from Toronto. Her husband is an American actor named Jessie Pavelka. A son namely Rowan, was born to them in 2010.

As a result of the divorce, Pavelka and Hewitt were separated in 2016 which is a bad luck for Hewitt.
