Easily one of the top Pakistani filmmakers and TV directors, Sarmad Sultan Khoosat possesses a broader vision. He is the director of numerous successful projects, including Humsafar, Pani Jesa Piyar, Manto, Zindagi Tamasha, and Shehr E Zaat. His new Kamli will be released soon as well. Saba Qamar plays the lead role in the film.
Speaking of Humsafar, he said that it is a very special project and he considers it one of the most memorable projects of his career, not because it was successful, but because of how it was made, “Mahira Khan managed to sneak in that famous “rain scene” one of our goals was to do it that day because Mahira mentioned that at the time, because it's her passion to work on the film, so we did it in one day. The scene was incredible, and Mahira's passion was evident, thanks to Mahira's enthusiasm.
He acknowledged that there was not much of a chemistry between Mahira and Fawad Khan at first. I couldn't see any chemistry between the two actors, there wasn't any magic, and I felt that something was missing, I was actually working with two actors who used different acting techniques, and therefore, I was unable to find the right technique. The chemistry between them was evident, but I didn't see the real chemistry, but somehow I discovered it when I edited the drama; that was when I realized it, and it turned out to be amazing."
